Brandon Underwood: No Contest Plea In Prostitution Case

TotalPackers - The case involving Green Bay Packers defensive back Brandon Underwood has finally been resolved. Underwood pleaded no contest to one count of prostitution after initially being accused of sexual assault by two gold-digging whores, last June. He appeared in Sauk County Circuit Court Wednesday, was found guilty and fined $379. The police department refused to comment on the matter, which happened after Clay Matthews’ golf tournament in Lake Delton. Underwood was initially accused of assault by two women, which lead to an investigation in which six Packers, in addition to Underwood, were interviewed by police. It was later revealed that while money changed hands for sexual services, there was no real crime. The investigation, however, dragged on and charges apparently didn’t come until after the season. On the field, Underwood started strong in training camp, only to see himself fall down the depth chart at cornerback, until he was eventually moved to safety late in the year. He played 12 games for the Packers in 2010 and recorded 10 tackles. I wonder how his wife feels about all of this.

You tell me - aren't there enough groupies out there for pro athletes that they can leave the hookers alone? I mean if I was a pro football player I'd prolly be bangin' chicks left and right but I'd make sure there was a raincoat on my stabby thing and never let the chick touch her cellphone. Gotta be easy, right? Lots of punany and no problems if you play your cards right.  Hey Brandon, you're dumb as a bag of hammers.  Bang.  Pay attention!

The Pack Is Back!
Aaron Rodgers stepped up into the conversation as one of the best QB's in the NFL and Ben Rothlisberger took a giant step backward.  Although I picked the Steelers to win, I couldn't be more happy with the outcome.  Now we can finally stop all the Brady-Rothlisberger comparisons because Big Ben played like crap in this game.  He threw two picks and had a shot to drive the team down the field for the win at the end of the game.  Didn't happen.  Fail!

Now, as far as Aaron Rodgers is concerned, I was totally impressed.  If it weren't for all the dropped passes (especially Jordy Nelson), he would have thrown for over 400 yards.  His accuracy and decision making was impeccable throughout the entire game.  Keep your eye on the Packers.  They're a young team (2nd youngest in the NFL) with what appears to be a developing star in the league at quarterback.  The title returns to Titletown and the Lombardi trophy goes home.  Well done, Cheeseheads!  Great NFL season, see ya next year!  (As long as there is a next year)....

Packers Vs. Steelers
I'm just beginning to get used to the fact that the Patriots won't be playing in this year's Super Bowl so now that means we have to turn our attention to the teams that will actually be on the field Sunday at the JonesDome.  It looks to me to be a match of two fairly even teams.  Both have outstanding coaches, defenses and dynamic quarterbacks that are capable of single-handedly winning games.

So who has the edge?  I'll give the coaching edge to Tomlin.  He's been there before and he's won before.  Plus, McCarthy has had some serious clock management issues in the past so there's no telling what the pressure of the biggest game of the year might do to him.  Edge:  Steelers.

I also think the Steelers have a slight advantage in the running game.   James Starks has really stepped it up in recent weeks and John Kuhn is just a football player.  But I like the tandem of Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman just a little bit more (and don't forget about Mewelde Moore).  Mendenhall will have the bulk of the carries and he brings a special combination of speed and power to the position.  Edge:  Steelers.

The tight end position is a no-brainer.  Heath Miller is better than anyone Green Bay can throw out there.  Edge:  Steelers.

In terms of receivers, Green Bay has a slightly better assemblage than Pittsburgh.  Hines Ward is getting older and Mike Wallace is a one-trick pony.  Antwaan Randle El hasn't been much of a factor lately.  The Packers' grouping of Jennings, Nelson, Driver and Jones is a little more formidable.  It says here that Greg Jennings might be the most underrated receiver in the league.  Great athlete, great hands.  Edge:  Packers.

Everyone is jumping on the Aaron Rodgers bandwagon lately and he's done a great job carrying his team on the road to get to this point.  But his last game against the Bears wasn't that great and this is his first Big Dance.  Rothlisberger already has two rings, but he's nowhere near the pure passer Rodgers is.  They're two completely different quarterbacking styles.  Rodgers extends plays by getting out of the pocket and while Big Ben can run a little, he mostly extends plays with his size and strength within the pocket.  Edge:  Even.

As for the defenses, both teams are skilled and physical from front to back with plenty of playmakers.  It's a pick 'em between the two D-lines.  I like the Packers' linebackers but I'd give the the edge in the defensive backfield to the Steelers.  Edge:  Even.

In the kicking game, Mason Crosby is a proven vet while Shaun Suisham wasn't even on the Steelers roster to begin the year.  The punters are pretty much a push.  Edge:  Packers.

What does it all mean?  I think we'll see a tough, physical game primarily dominated by defenses that are loaded with playmakers.  In the end, although I'll hate to see "Rapelisberger" standing on the podium with a third trophy, I'm picking the Steelers, 24 - 17.  Bang.  Pay attention!

Sore Losers

Chicago Sun-Times
Packer backer fired for wearing Green Bay tie
With Chicago reeling from Sunday’s painful playoff loss, Monday morning probably wasn’t the best time for car salesman John Stone to share his love for the Green Bay Packers with co-workers and customers. But Stone, 34, proudly showed up for work at Webb Chevrolet in south suburban Oak Lawn wearing his green-and-yellow Packers necktie anyway. Now he’s former car salesman John Stone. The morning after the Chicago Bears’ hated rivals beat them at Soldier Field to advance to the Super Bowl, Webb’s general manager Jerry Roberts says he fired Stone for refusing to remove the Packers-branded tie. The facts aren’t in dispute, only the appropriateness of the novelty neckwear. “He said, ‘You have two options,’ ” a furious Stone said later Monday. “Remove the tie, or you’re fired.” “When I didn’t, he said, ‘You can leave, you’re fired.’ Does that sound fair to you?”...

...Although it would appear that the dealership's GM has more balls than Jay Cutler.

Well, there's your Super Bowl - Packers vs. Steelers.  The early lines from Vegas have the Packers favored by 2 to 2.5 points and the over/under has been set at 45.  I'll wait a little bit to see how the line moves, but I already like the over on this one.  Domed or warm-weather stadium and a couple of QB's who could light things up given 2 weeks to prepare.

On another note, so long Sexy Rexy - at least we don't have to spend any more time listening to your insufferable bellowing.  Let's see what happens now after you lose a few free agents this offseason.  Good riddance!

I absolutely love this freakin' kid. He has the heart, passion, desire and conviction that all Patriots fans should have. Pure gold. Righteousness. Fan of the year. Of the decade. Of the century. Bang. (Looks a little bit like Danny Woodhead, too.) Pay attention!

So this wacko wants Aaron Rodgers to play on Sunday even if it means his brain turns to mush in a few years.  How many concussions have you had, Mikey.  Looks to be more than a few...

I hope Rosemont is a cemetery, cuz that's where Rodgers might end up if he plays against the Pats...
